Today the big kids had a field trip to see Romeo and Juliet at Mesa Arts Center.
This is our second time seeing a performance of the play this tear. We also saw Theater Works' production earlier this year. The kids took a class on Shakespeare and Romeo and Juliet this fall, so this was just a a follow-up. We enjoyed this one, but man those actors were spitting all over the place!! After that we took the opportunity to take a few pics around the grounds :)
That night we attended the TheaterWorks Youth Works Gala which is their yearly fundraiser event. It is basically a night to dress up, see a show, have dinner, dance, and visit with friends. They also have raffles and auctions. The kids didn't win anything, but they danced the night away and had a blast!
